I think I mentioned that I've recently acquired my first ever smart phone. It has a really bad camera and video, but I must admit to becoming hooked on the latter. We have absolutely no movies of the animals, so even the appalling quality has novelty value.
I'm confused about the files though. If I shoot in portrait mode then the player we use shows them sideways. My husband is pretty good with these things, but in the end I had to buy a video editor to rotate them. It's really flaky and crashes at the drop of a hat, but I won't be using it that often. My biggest problem is that I ask for MP4 files - the same as the phone produces, but they are saved as M4V files instead. They work and are rotated as necessary, but I can't get those files to show up in Bridge. I can click on them and they open and work, but I really want to see what is there.
I've just done a test and renamed them all to MP4 and they work, plus I can now see them in Bridge. What I want to do now is delete the other, non-rotated files. Am I going to find a problem later with the files where I have changed the extension?
