The publishers of Shade 3D recognized my work and interviewed me as they release version 13E. I had considerable input during the time it was being programmed. The English version of the interview is now on a couple of sites in the West and it is currently being translated into Japanese for the home-market. Shade is developed at e-frontier in Japan and published world-wide by Mirye in the USA.

Everything I learned in photography transferred intact to 3D, and I often use 3D to explore photographic ideas. The virtual camera uses full-frame "lenses"—just type in the focal length you want—has full view-camera movements, fisheye lens, shoots panoramas and stereo, as well as movies. Every sort of light is available in unlimited quantities. Want a studio with skylights? No problem. A portrait studio? Again no problem. -40° outside at night. I can shoot—virtually—no matter the conditions.
The only difference is that with 3D modeling and rendering, I can photograph whatever is in my imagination.
