Critique Welcomed Vultee Arch Trail

We went off-road yesterday, (labor day holiday in the US), and took the Vultee Arch Trail out into red-rock country, North of Sedona AZ.

It's called a trail - but really it's just a boulder field that resets your spine a thousand times as you bounce over it! :D

At the end of the 4x4 accessible trail is the trailhead for a hike - dominated by this huge Limestone bluff.

Further towards Sedona, the landscape has more of the Red Rock in it, and the trail is red as well - now I know what the Mars Rover feels like!

Here's a panoramic that gives you a better feel for the landscape

Nice shots, Chris. Looks like you're shooting Velvia again. Can't blame you, but I hope you leave some for me! ;)

Thanks everyone

Beth - I took some shots of the blooms close up, but wasn't happy when I reviewed them initially :(

Brian - hoping my virtual Velvia outlasts Kodak!

Pete - that's because we turned around at that point and drove back!! :D

Yes Pete - we were out of the car long enough to be bitten several times each by gnats - a lovely greeting! :D

I know Pete - I sacrifice for the art... :D :D :D
