Wait For Me

I have always like Giacometti, especially his sculptures and have been trying to think of ways of how I could get some kind of approximation of them in an image to create a sense of movement. This is the closest I have got so far.

Like this very much Paul. I like the sort of covert nature of the compositions, the almost voyeuristic way you have framed the figure. And you certainly capture elements of the elongated figures of his work.

I like the giant, Mephisto-like character back by the door also. I guess the result of superposition unless they grow them big round there!

I think the Mephisto-like character is an amalgamation of a person and a large vase by the doorway.

The ideas that I currently have don't work with clean, sharp images the effect is just not there. It was dark in the house which I think is down to protecting antiques from fading. This meant I had to push the ISO up but the graininess really works well and means that there is less to do in PP. This one was just a crop to lower resolution more than anything a bit of toning and a bit of selective gentle burning.

This is another thing that I will explore a bit more, I already have some more ideas.

I like the elongated figure in the door way, very mysterious. The intentional soft focus works really well here.
