wanted to introduce myself :)

Paul I appreciate the welcome and it's not late at all, I didn't expect the thread to take off so quickly :)

I agree stained glass has it's very own allure with colors, I will admit that I am not finished as I plan on taking a tripod out & having another take at this, then also working a bit on the perspective adjustment since this thing was literally 30 feet or so high.

Hamish I am 31 years old so far and I arrived here at the age of 15 in 95, I sound pretty much just like every other american when I speak. I must say often I feel very different than most people but go figure I've spent half of my life a catholic boy in a rigid islamic society so it's safe to say I was a bit of an alien everywhere I have lived.

No worries, you are not the only person I've come across who doesn't think I sound like every other american haha, specially when you read what I say rather than hear it, I was taught english by a private teacher who happened to be a britt aside from the fact that english was a second language in iraq (in schools) so I tend to ignore less mistakes in my writing than most americans who frequently use social media. I still read & write Arabic and also speak Armaic so I am sure that has an affect on my english as well haha...

Welcome Fidel! :)

Missed this original post - apologies

Love the religious imagery - been off on a bit of a kick on that myself this year, with a trip to Santa Fe and also the local Mission (San Luis Rey) in Oceanside.

We should get together with Darren B in San Diego when you're down this way - Maybe Brian and Eric can head south as well so we can have the inaugural RPF West Coast shooting day. :)

I have been away all week so it's a rather late welcome from me. Very nice shots and I see from other threads that you are enjoying this place. I had no doubt that you would!

Thought you'd been quiet Pete!!

Sounds like a good idea, Chris! I may even bring my 7d so you guys can show me how to work it.

Hello friends :)

Gentlemen I would be more than happy to have a day out in town with our cameras. I'm actually trying to book a commercial architecture shoot down there in the next few weeks, so perhaps in the days after I complete that job we can dedicate some time for a meet & greet and of course some fun with cameras :)

Excellent! :)

Of course in anyone from the far flung corners of the RPF world wants to fly in and join us, you're more than welcome!
