It is pretty close. Me and my friends went camping in the area (Arthog) in 2011, lovely views. I missed out on some lovely photos at Cregennen Lakes at magic hour, as the batteries in my camera died...

Great shot Daz tomorrow supposedly we will get a bit more !! we have been warned of about 6" here because where I live is almost on top of hill if we go 3 miles down the road to Longton they will get less so for us it will be a day at home

Couple of nice scenic shots there Daz...

We got a couple of inches of snow on Monday and Tuesday (might post the shot of the garden later) and with the freezing temperatures since there is still plenty about and more forecast for Friday and Saturday.
Some lovely local scenes, not as dramatic as your mountains Darren but still nice, but when I finish work I'm just too lazy to get myself out in it[doh].
