Better to admire the view from up here than on that bench. Lol.

Thanks for looking :)

They need to put up a council sign warning that you may get wet if you use the bench ;)

Just to make sure H&S are happy

Love the reflections in the water - makes the bench and railing look cool

Just the bench and it's reflection, with a little rail and it's reflection, would make a great abstract crop

I see what you mean Chris!
Thanks mucka! I shall experiment. :)

That's really beautiful. And that's a lot of rain. We are still in a drought here. They have outdoor fire bans in effect for almost two years now.

That's madness!!
And can you believe we have hose pipe bans in the summer due to drought.
Can you believe that hey?!

When I lived in Miami during the 80's there were severe water use restrictions because the growth had depleted the Everglades so badly. Rainwater there just runs off. Every address had a day they could water their lawn or more importantly wash their car. I think the fine was something like $250 if they caught you washing your car on an off day and they enforced it rigorously.

Here in Texas we just have had no consequential rain fall for two years. The fire ban is mainly for rural areas where people burn their garbage. Yeah...don't get me started. And...I doubt many people here adhere to the ban. Of course the State Park I was working at less than two years ago was 95% destroyed by a wildfire. Best guess as to what caused it....you got it, some moron burning his/her garbage. It was really tragic. I managed to get my last rescue dog, Ruby, off that park mercifully the Saturday before the fire. If I hadn't she wouldn't have made it. That was a beautiful park. The only pine trees in that part of Texas. Sadly, a species of drought resistant pine that doesn't grow anywhere else in the US. The naturalist told us the best case scenario for the park returning was about 150 years with a lot of money and effort thrown at it.

Anyway...we could really use some rain here (even though it's raining today.) :D

see now DD you be gettin into trouble cause you no been cleaning the drains correctly :D:D:D

I'm looking forward to the "Crop Shot" too!!!

BTW if you've already done the crop shot and posted elsewhere just ignore this post... I'm busy working my way through over 200 missed posts from two days off the 'puter[doh]:D.

Is it a long exp Dan. I think the bench on its own, the rail on its own, bench & rail together are all lovely.

Haha!! Am I keeping you all on edge with this crop shot?!! Lol.
Okay okay..... Let me see what I can do. :)

Holy cr@p - I just realized I haven't even taken a photo since last year! - the shame! :D
