I feel so sorry for you Darren. I think I would have definitely cried breaking the lens and I would probably cried again at the repair price.

Small consolation I know but it'll be like a brand new lens if you do get it fixed, but it sounds like you normally take good care of your gear anyway, so it was probably like a brand new lens before the slip.

Thats the thing Glen its about 12 months old, and was like new, literally.............!!

I have told them to go ahead and repair it, its just such an awesome lens, my pride and joy

They guy from LCE says it will be like new, they give it full service and clean everything also.......and the work is guaranteed for 12 months

This is what's wrong with it, mean nowt to me
"To replace front ring assembly, main cam barrel, guides, plate, clean, fully test and check all functions."

cant wait to get it back..........

I use http://www.imaginginsurance.co.uk/ for my cameras ... In fact, I use them for all my insurance! They seem like quite a small company you usually get the same person when you ring who is really nice!

Darren i dont know if this will make you feel better .In June I bought a brand new Kawazaki Er6F in got delivered at 1pm and a nice man wrought it off for me 3:50pm the same day 23 miles on the clock just got my money back from my insurance so ordered a new Honda CBR600f from George Whites last sunday and then they went into administration on friday loosing my deposit. I am now wating to see what happens next.

Good news at last I received a phone call from Honda UK on Monday and they are going to transfer my deposit that I lost at
George Whites to my local Honda dealer so on March 1st my New CBR600F will be here

Honda uk have a very good rep for customer service While talking to the dealer he told me that he new of them giving a customer his money back on Krytonite bike lock when it broke.

They just emailed me to say that they will buy it from me for £400

they have one for sale on there website same lens in mint conditions (which mine now is and was prior to accident) selling it for £1650
