What are my limits??

I have a shot which I've wanted to post on here since I done it almost a year ago now.
The problem is....... is that, I truely believe its a peice of art rather than any intentional offense
In fact, It has the one F word graffiti'd in the backround.... thats all. This is one of my favourite images Ive done. but I need clarification...... Hamish?
but as this is a none swearing, real named, and mature forum. I thought I'd check if anyone would be offended by ......... (wait for it)........ the F word?

I think it's cool that Dan was respectful of the atmosphere that has been engendered here on RPF and thus felt compelled to ask permission to post an image that contained a vulgarity. I also think it's cool that the members who responded are cool with it, since it is in pursuit of sharing art. This all speaks to the civility on display here on RPF.

(And for what it's worth, I'm good with the posting of it too.)

I know we have touched on this before ... but i was thinking in the interests of the promotion of freedom of speak that we could have a switch somewhere that would allow people to either see or not see swearing ...
ie Nativity it is **** out, but if you like you can switch a switch to see peoples effings and blindings ... im not sure if its worth the potential time it would take to do, but thought id throw it out there
I have no issue with swearing, language is a powerful thing, why not let it have the extents of its power should people feel comfortable with them?

I doubt anything like a word would offend me. I suggest you go ahead and post. If you feel that the reader should be warned just in case you could put a little warning in your topic title. But a word like that amongst other graffiti is something many of us see fairly often I think.

You do enough for this forum Hamish, you don't need to change it. Freedom of speech exists and has existed in this forum for a long time, that's what makes it excellent!
I knew it would offend anyone what I had posted. Unfortunately those pretty stars aren't able to cover up anything on a pic. I guess I was a bit sceptic posting it as it hasn't been done before.... I think

I think if we are going to be upset by any asterisked text then we can always not read as long as we know it's going to be there. Personally I wouldn't want to be subjected to a torrent of ************* where it isn't needed. If it is appropriate for the image, in the image then we should use it freely.

I wouldn't want to see it just there because we suddenly have some 'new' freedom..
