It probably sounded like a good idea at the time....
Bristol has installed its own temporary version of the London Eye. This 60m wheel has been installed in the middle of the main shopping area in Bristol City Centre.
I was lucky to be there on the day of its opening, on a bright, clear but bitterly cold day when there were few people about. I might even go up in it one day and view the rooftops of Bristol....

This is my favourite...I'm sure there are more photos to be had of the geometry of the wheel that are more interesting than the whole thing itself.
