When Two Sides Come Together

I have tried to tell a story with this Image.

Setup - Taken with a canon 7D 50mm 1.4 @ 2.8
1 x SB80 bare with a blue & purple gel attached to light the glasses (its was going to be a colour image)in the BG and a SB80 in a 28" softbox @ camera left to light the chess pieces.

would work just as well without the text, imo. love the tones and lighting, but the bokeh makes this image for me. nicely done!

The background is very striking and, as Beth says, makes the image. Can't make out the glasses though. Does that matter for the story?

I may remove the Text Beth. A few people have pulled me on that.

The glasses are what i used to create the bokeh with the light.
