i set up the tripod and took some pics of the "Ghost Trains"

I agree with Lesley about the color combo being so complimentary, but I prefer image #2 although I like all of them very much, Julian.
 
Number 2 for me too... The compo feels the most right to my eye. It has the most abstract feel to it too which I like.
You will get your self a reputation stood on a platform with a tripod though.
 
Cheers Guys.. it is strange the looks you get when stood behind a tripod, people feel the need to have sneaky looks at you or even feel the need to ask what your doing. Its great ....
 
I'll agree that they are all good. My fav is the second shot where I can see the front of the train. Excellent work here Julian.
 
Loving that zoom on the destination display - straight TRON effect!

Have been known to stand behind a tripod on the occasional train platform - and get questioned by security :D
 
I think the last time I went to Durham Station there was a sign saying no photography on the platform...
 
Pete There does seem to be a Tardis. Well spotted. :)

As for no photography on platforms?? i think that is stupid, i can see the reasoning for no tripods in busy stations perhaps.
