White Lion @ West Midlands Safari Park

The White Lions were first introduced at West Midland Safari Park in 2004

In 2006 four cubs were born at the Park - the first ever White Lion cubs to be in the UK. The interest in them was phenomenal. Further births have resulted in a total pride today of 15 - two males and thirteen females - representing the largest pride of rare White Lions in the UK.

That was Darren trying out his covert Lion suit ready for a trip to WM Zoo!!

Love the contrast between the lion and the common British weed behind. Nice one Darren (and welcome back - been busy I assume!).

cheers pete, yes been very busy summer holidays here at the hotel, hopefully i can take part more on RPF now things are easing off a little (i haven't stopped logging in and admiring the awesome pics posted, just not enough time to comment) may even get put & take some pics

Whats the set-up at the park, do you shoot from the car, or is this a walk around place?

drive through gated fenced off areas each with own theme and animals Chris, so they are running free in each HUGE enclosure. So its clean windows time and hope for best

Far better than tiny cages like in some zoo's IMO
