White Out

It certainly was this morning. Woke to find the world shrouded in freezing fog. This was taken from the warmth and comfort of my bedroom window but I went out shortly afterwards to catch the light from the sun burning through the fog.

Nikon D3 + Nikkor 24 70 f1:2.8. 70 mm at F11, ISO 200. PP in LR (crop), PS (border) and Nik SilverFX Pro 2 - Fuji Neopan simulation with enhanced grain and Selenium tone.

All that negative space, and the subtle tones created by the layers of fog - yummy!

Reminds me of the cover from Arizona Highways, in their 50 best photographs issue...

I'll see if I can dig it out.
