Re. the camera. Basically it's about as good image quality as the x100 ... Not far off if its worse with faster AF and no cool VF ... And a zoom ...
Very different cameras that would compliment each other nicely IMO

i love the light too ... We drove to reading later in the morning and for the first hour we had so many stunning views ... If we hasn't had been in a hurry I could have spent hours taking photos!

I really must try harder with the Sony. This weekend I switched back and forth between in and the Ricoh and, while the image quality was superior with the Sony I was much more comfortable using the Ricoh.

Not yet but I'll order one tomorrow when I get back to the UK. Mind, I might get distracted by another camera that is sitting waiting for me in the studio - it won't be much use for the Autumn colour though!

These RX100 photos remind me of my DP1. Im sorry my DP1, RX100 is too nice & more versatile.

No, not yet. The extended low light performance would be nice though. Mind, the chance of getting one without waiting 6 months would be pretty low. But I might have a think about it next year if the feedback and images look interesting enough. A second P45 is higher up the list (V fit this time though).

These really are stunning Hamish. The quality is superb. The light is fantastic and the whole air is one of calm and peace
