Taken from Station Beach which is behind the famous Palm Beach in the North of Sydney. At the end I had spent too much time staring towards the setting sun. Also the tide was coming in and was rapidly covering the narrow stretch of beach.
This was taken with an old 28-85mm AF Nikon I acquired for $70. The secret to controlling the flare (mostly) was to try and line up all the spots with the heart of the sun and still make the composition work.
