X100 High ISO - Porsche

Took a quick pit stop at a rest area on I8 on the way back to California.

The sun had set, but the twilight in the sky was perfect for taking shots of shiny subjects, such as cars.

Used a CPL filter to remove reflections from the car windscreen - and shot this at ISO1250 f4 1/18 with the X100

Lovely colours chris!
I'm amazed with this x100. Very good bit of kit!

Very nice, Chris. (Since the sun had set, I am guessing that in reality the light was a bit darker to the eye than what the camera gathered?)

Many thanks Dan - indeed it is a lovely bit of kit

Thanks Brian - it was dusk when I took the shot - very low light conditions, the camera definitely pulled the shot out of the darkness

Thanks Rob - not mine, belongs to her indoors :)

That's ace Chris. Nice tip on the filter to. I noticed it in the background of the dinosaur set if I'm correct?

Correct Tom - I used the CPL on most of the shots I took over the weekend.

Unlike a traditional viewfinder - the EVF in the X100 shows how the image looks with the CPL in place, so you can rotate it to just the right angle before taking the shot.

Thanks Pete - That's me - bent over double, reflected in the front bumper! :D

I've been called worse Pete! :D
