Yashica D TLR

Well, I did it. I bought my FIRST medium format camera and 4th film camera over all. A friend introduced my to TLR cameras with the mention of his C330 kit (full) that I just couldn't grab up in time. I grabbed it on ebay for just over 100 bucks shipped so even if it needs a light CLA it is more than worth it IMO. I will post photos as soon as I get it in hand.

Great! The Yashica D was the first Med Format I ever shot. I was in high school, in a photo class and I got handed one. "Take pictures of lines." said the teacher. "Lines...?" "Yeah lines,...go." So off I went, wondering what the hell he wanted from me. My first shot? I sighted the camera along the side of one of the school's brick buildings and got a fantastic shot of the lines of mortar between the bricks. Well,...I thought it was fantastic.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll have fun with it Grant. (I'd like one also.)

Looking forward to seeing what you got, and what you shoot with it.

I enjoyed my TLR (Lubitel) although the over-all quality of the optics sucked

Would certainly consider a better one, so interested to see the Yashica's results

You should be able to pick one up on eBay for no more than 120. The one I bought says it is fully functional but I have a feeling it may still need at least the shutter CLA'd. No worries though, this is one that is staying in my possession for years and years.
