newark pd called yesterday and said they had a train v tractor trailer. occupied. crap. we usually get schematics and photos of the scene after it happens and a copy of the police report, but rarely video of the incident.
and when they say it's a problem rail crossing they're full of it. this is the first major incident we've had at this particular crossing since i started working. it's just a problem because the tracks go across two roads at an oddly shaped intersection. drivers don't like to wait for the train and then wait some more for the long line of cars queued up in the intersection..
