Kev, that's the one. £124.99 is the best deal I could find online without resorting to ebay... It's not cheap...

I would prefer to use a walk-in store if I can find one that carries it at similar price.

I use eBay for low cost items, but for premium items, not a good idea...

i've just saw an adjustable filter that takes you from ND2 up to ND400 ...really cheap so maybe worth a try before you go for the £100+ one ?

Jim - I have a Tiffen set of ND filters - very nice quality, no colour cast.

The set offers a range of NDs up to 7 stops

Tiffen 77mm Indie Pro Infrared/Neutral Density W77INDPROKT B&H

They also do a nice variable ND filter which goes up to 8 stops - not tried that personally, but it looks neat as you only need the one filter with you.

By the way, I am looking for 77m size.

I already have Cokin P ND2/4/8. But I think for those super dark ND filter, it makes sense to get threaded ones since you don't want light leaking in from the holder gaps .

Those Tiffen filters look very nice Chris

Unfortunately, I don't do photography professionally, so I am not sure I can justify their price range...

It's a different story, when it comes to computer equipment, however .

Chris, your eBay link poses an interesting option. I will have to consider it carefully and assess whether a variable ND filter would work with my other existing accessories.

Maybe try a brand name from EBAY that's cheaper - like a Polaroid model perhaps?
