A 1971 Honda Z-600. I believe it was Honda's first mass-produced car imported to the US. (I'll have to double-check that; there was an earlier Z-360, but I do not think it was imported here.)

I took these shots in our lobby at work.

Canon F1, Canon FD 17mm, and Kodak Ultramax 400 film. Available light.

Love that orange Brian - lovely shots, but I'm not sure the 17mm is helping with the car's styling! :D

Thanks Chris. I think you're right. The 17 is making the svelte and seductive lines of our lovely little Z-600 look like an orange crate. I'll have to shoot it with longer lens so that you all can see how pretty it actually is! ;)

Well, I think it is pretty neat in it's own retro way. Although it does look like it was originally made from a different shaped headlight but then opted for round ones t the last minute.
You may be on to something Paul. One of the hurdles that non-US car manufacturers have historically faced is to make their vehicles conform to US motoring regulations. In the past this has resulted in some less-than-elegant design compromises. (One need look no further that the '73 and later MGs, with their ugly rubber bumpers.) Your observation about the headlights is a good one; the bulb cavity is clearly not round. This suggests that perhaps the original Japan-spec headlights were actually square-ish. Thanks, Paul!

Brian - second pic is my favourite and I just wish the flowers were out of the shot. Actually, if only the background was free of modern clues you could think this was a vintage pic.

I love the film used and its effect - that analogue creaminess! :D

I agree with you on the flowers and the background Shane. Thanks for the comments; much appreciated.
