#8 Pacific Surfliner Series - San Juan Capistrano

The old rail depot and station at San Juan Capistrano have been in place since 1894, and mirror the architecture of the near-by mission.

Here's the southbound Pacific Surfliner, pulling in to San Juan Capistrano, before heading out on the final leg of the rail journey to San Diego.

Super clear day today, and the polarization effect was very very strong. - All I did in PP was exposure tweaks, B&W, contrast and sharpen.

I'll have to revisit earlier in the day to get the sun more head-on to the train, or even lighting the nearside more.

Got told off for standing on rail property again - man this gets me into so much trouble! ;)

LMAO - too hot for a bleepin' anorak

By the way, do you know American Photo magazine. Picked a copy up in Athens airport the other day. A really nice magazine I must say!

Not seen it - not many magazine shops in this neck of the woods - Will take a look though

Just subscribed to Outdoor Photographer for a year - just $10 for the whole year on Amazon - bargain!

Ooo i like this... There is something slightly distracting about the angle of the shadows... But the crop and the framing are top notch!
Whats that person got?

I like this! I think B&W worked well here. I have been enjoying your Surfliner series Chris, thanks for sharing :)

Thanks Rudi - it's fun to have a theme to drop into every now and again.

Will probably try colour if/when I return to shoot an earlier train with better lighting.
