A Blinding Light

For a short while this afternoon a gap appeared in the leaden and rain soaked sky and lit the tower-blocks of Yaletown, Vancouver as viewed from Granville Island.

Leica M9 + 18mm Zeiss Distagon M f1:4.0. ISO 400 1/125s at f1:8.0. PP in LR and Nik Viveza 2, Nik Define 2 and Nik ColorFX 4 (CP).

Thanks all. The light was truly amazing and, i the original version, despite the glare, there is still detail in that central tower block.

Its not just the light or the composition it is the colours and the way the blue in the sky is echoed in the water. It gives the image a sense of underlying symmetry. Well that is what I think anyway.
