Airports - my second home

I've spent so much time in airports over the years, I've begun to regard them as almost a second home. And no matter how much I travel (over 230,000 air miles last year alone), I never really get tired of it... well, ok, sometimes I get tired of it. It's gotten a lot harder and less pleasurable since 2001. Anyway, here's a shot I took last week passing through Dulles (Washington, DC). Reminded me of Tron, but someone else said the video for Billie Jean by Michael Jackson.

That looks like it could be a bit disorientating to walk on especially if you have vertigo! How did you manage that one Darren I imagine security would take you into a side room to have a few words with Mr Baton (for your own protection, of course) if they caught you taking photographs.

Wow!! Excellent shot Daz! I've never taken a shot in an airport before, do you get any raised eyebrows from today's insecure society/public?

That floor is just nuts! Love it :)

Nice shot Darren, but what about John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever? Isn't THAT his dance floor? Ha. Anyway, I'm passing through Seoul Incheon & Dubai International in the coming days, two very photogenic airports... not to mention the not-so-photogenic London Gatwick, the only one of the 3, as luck would have it, that will grant me daylight shooting conditions. I'll have my wide-angle with me & I'll see what I can come up with and post here!

Thanks, guys!

Surprisingly, I never get harassed for taking pictures at Dulles, which is great because the architecture is amazing.

I see you're in Seoul now, which is a city I know well- having spent all of 2010 working there (and part of 2009). That one is by Fentress. The train terminal is the most interesting part, as I'm sure you know.
