On Saturday I took one of my keyfob cameras to the Somerset Stages rally to take some video at a different angle, of my hero Andy Burton.

And im pretty pleased with the result :D

Stunning!

Love the peaceful sounds of the forest, and then the build-up to the big finish.

Was your camera alright after being sprayed with rocks?

That's Brilliant...
I didn't know where the car was going to drive past, but certainly didn't expect it to drive over the top!!!. It's a good job it didn't hit the keyfob camera ;).

How long did you have to set it up and away before you got run over too???

Hehe if it hit the camera he would have been in the middle of having a huuge accident! The camera did survive with no ill effects, which was lucky!

At BTRDA rallys there is a gap of 5-10 minutes between the 1400 class and the main field so I put the camera down straight after the last 1400 and had to crop a fair bit out. There was a marshall post up to the left of shot, and in a way it was a shame the camera couldnt pick up the radio chatter as I could hear them saying car 1 on the start line, car clear to start the stage etc which would have been quite cool to have included.
