I inherited one ... I love it ... Beautiful thing ... Says embee on the mech, has three chimes.
the bit that hooks the pendulum is broken. I'd like to get it restored and working properly ... Any ideas? Cost? Where to go? What to ask? Anything to bear in mind? I know naffin bout this sorta thing apart from the fact I like it and want it to make a nice clicking noise and lovely chime :)

Well, it's a 1920's to 30's clock made in Germany but the case might be English (although probably not). They are fairly common movements so you might even find someone with the right spare part but, if not, it would be relatively simple to have one made. Have you found this bunch near you?

One of the good things about having a big sort out is that I found my big book of old clock makers! - Don't ask! :)

Couldn't get hold of them Pete ... Tried that company they said it wouldnt be to expensive to be worth doing!

Good man! Cheers Tom ... I think that might be the solution!
