Royal Art Show, Edinburgh. Leica M-A with Portra 400 and the Leitz 50mm f/4 lens (not the 7Artisans I mentioned on Flickr - will change that later).

Not entirely happy shooting colour film - most of them look better in b&w.

I do like the second one, the staff member looks to be trying hard to cope with the boredom of the job!

The b&w looks better, but if the artist's work on display is in colour, is it not better to photograph it as the artist intended it to look? Moral dilemma.

Thanks, Dave. No moral dilemma for me. My photo is an art work in itself. A commentary, if you like. The artist presented her work as she wanted it to appear, but once it is out there in the world, anything could happen to it. Or something like that! :-)

OK, I'll allow you to like them both, though it does reflect badly on your character!

These were definitely the best of the 36, so I quite like them too, enough to present them here. The scans are too low in quality, hence the grain. It was Portra 400, but I set the ASA dial to 200, thinking I'd get a cleaner image with warmer colours. But that's not exactly how they worked out. Was I wrong in my thinking?
