Hand-held, and the wind was blowing. I would have liked a few millimetres of space at the bottom.

I set the in-camera mono filter to Blue this time, and I like the softness of the result.
 
They can be. But they can also be too sharp at times if you forget you have set the internal sharpness too high, as in this DP2 image, which is the opposite of the above image:

.... or screens, to come back to my earlier comment...:D

on my laptop it shows better than on my other computer.... there's is some threedeeishness here too, at least at my (slightly) darker screen of my laptop....
 
I love the texture. I can almost feel the flower just by looking at it. I guess that's somewhat like smelling colours.o_O
