Twilight shot along the patio at the Marriott resort I'm visiting in Hilton Head. I think this has a vintage feel in terms of lighting and B&W tonality. I also like the arc of the pergola leading to the last bit of light in the sky.

Thanks guys

This look always reminds me of O. Winston Link's B&W photographs of Norfolk & Western steam trains using view cameras and large numbers of huge lights with multiple flash bulbs. His photos had a kind of ethereal light to them that reminds me of this shot.

If you are not familiar with Link, check out his work. He extensively documented the final years of steam power on the N&W (which was the last American RR to use steam locomotives).

Interesting guy and photographs.

Thanks, Lesley. There was, to be honest, a bit of luck in this - it was pretty dark and I didn't realize the sky was going to be as dramatic as it turned out.
