@ Lesley: no, didn't use a green filter. Made a colour shot and converted it to B&W....

This is great in B&W I think this treatment works well with trees forest etc.. The verticals of the trees in the BG works really well with the wavy horizontals of the branches of the beech in the FG such a simple shot done simply well
