Steve, yesterday I visited the California Museum of Photography in Riverside. Its a little bit of a trek from where I live but I've been there a number of times, mostly due to the fact that Caiti, my eldest, did her undergrad degree at UC Riverside. (And UC Riverside maintains the museum.) Anyway, yesterday they had a delightful exhibit of photographs taken by photographers (e.g., Walker Evans, Dorothea Lange, etc.) hired by the Farm Security Administration to document the plight of rural people during the Depression. However, along with those B&W photos from the 1930s, there was also a contrasting display of modern color photos featuring images of the plight of rural folk today.
This image of yours, like so many of your pictures of decayed infrastructure, would not have been out of place on a wall of that museum. Very fine stuff, Steve!
