Looks well made. I have one roll of Neopan Acros 100 to experiment with. Lots of help online regarding exposure times and "reciprocity failure" - but some degree of guesswork will be involved. Tis a pity that we are experiencing a very dark and rainy day here, but I should get out this week to try it out.

Also got two books: The Photography Of Victorian Scotland, and Capturing The Light - A true story of genius, rivalry and the birth of photography. My family are just glad I have a hobby they can buy presents for!

Thanks, Pete. The "Pinhole Assist" app I have has a default setting for this particular camera, which is useful. The aperture is f/138. Just by pointing the app across the room, the reading is 24 minutes or compensated exposure of 14 minutes. Both those figures seem awful long! Oh, wait a minute, that was at the setting for Christmas Tree lights! For Rainy, it says 9 seconds for both figures. That seems more realistic. Bright Indoors indicates 2' 29". I think getting the right exposure is going to be difficult! I hope there is a lot of latitude...

Yeah happy birthday from me, too, Rob. I have one coming up in a few days and now you've got me thinking...

Does it shoot only 6 x 6 or can it take 35mm film too?

Happy Birthday Rob! :)

Where does the SD card go again?

Happy birthday Rob,
The thing looks pretty cool. :)

Just back from shooting the first film (Acros 100) through the pinhole. It was fun, but a little disconcerting not being able to line up a composition. Focus should generally be OK. Funny to expose a shot without any mechanical noise...almost felt not real.

I used basic guidelines for exposure: ASA 100 - full sun 2-6 sec, cloudy 10-12 sec, dark/rainy 20/25 secs. Hopefully the images will be OK, or at least recoverable in the digital darkroom. It is a sunny day, broken up with moving low clouds - alternating dark and light.

I went to the modern art museum here, which has some Henry Moore sculptures in amongst trees and grasses; and I then went out a side gate into a Victorian cemetery, for the memorial stone of David Octavius Hill. I always try to get a shot of him when I have a new camera...

I'll post it off today. A week to ten days, and I hope I'll have something worth posting here.

Don't worry about the focus Rob. Everything will be in focus (assuming you restrained the camera's movement sufficiently).

Your exposure times look good to me. I'm looking forward to seeing the fruits of your pinhole labors! :)

That looks a beauty Rob... did the family buy you a tin of Ronseal for it as well? ;)

Looking forward to seeing the fruits of your labour

Cheers, guys. I don't mind the waiting time - in fact I quite like the objectivity it creates. The experience of the moment diminishes a little, and I often can't remember taking some of the shots. Yes, my memory only lasts a week ;)

Brian, I used a tripod. However there can still be movement, so next time I'll attach the remote trigger (no, not the horse! - admit you were thing of it :p)
