Blackpool illuminations

I have a nostalgia for the promenade and illuminations display in Blackpool- the vibrant intensity and whimsy jarred with daily life in a down on its luck town.

I’m in year 3 I think of collecting photos of this annual event, one day hoping to make something from it.

My muse this recent night was a delightful donkey named Desmond

I completely get the magic of Desmond, with all those bright lights and colours swirling around him. It’s impossible not to whip out your camera! Well done.

Thanks all, and honestly Gary I may have shared one or two, but the bulk of the series is sorely in need of curating. I’ve been back out tonight shooting some more and using up a roll of Phoenix 200 to continue expanding the medium and cameras I’ve used over the years on this.
