Book for Pete?

Just bought a copy of Umberto Eco's The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loana, about a man who loses part of his memory - his name, family, his own life - and has to put it together again from artefacts in his attic, including old photograph books. Something Pete might be interested in (and others) or might have already read?
