No gorillas per se, but I spy several apes in this fotie, @Pete Askew! Anyway, thanks, Pete! And not a Gorilla in sight! Gorgeous though. Love the delicate layers and the way the tree line echoes the wall and provides a visual bridge from the viewing area to the misty view beyond.
Maybe next time you could ask one of your daughters to dress up in a Gorilla suit and stand... Best not eh?!
Thank you, Julian. Appreciated.Magnificent image Brian.
"Cheap as Chips" was a contest we had a few years ago, Rob. We had to buy a cheap camera and post foties from it. I did not win the contest. (I will not mention the name of the person who did win it. Suffice to say, however, that I have no doubt that particular individual employed black arts and DSGs! And no, I am NOT bitter!)Cheap as chips? Wow. Looks great. Wonderful comp and atmosphere.
Thank you, Kev. Much appreciated.Would love to see this huge, reckon it would be awesome, will have to make do at 22 inch, still prety good though,
Thanks, Beth. Appreciated.beautifully creamy tones. i like the wall jutting out almost pointing towards the city (or perhaps purposefully pointing you around it depending on your view).
Thanks, Chris. Appreciated. That's some lovely light Brian - love that location
Thanks Peter. Yes I developed this at home. I have not printed it though.Really excellent Brian. Beautiful scene, love the contrast and tones with this....! Did you develop/print yourself..?
That would make a superb enlargement alright! w-O-w
Not entirely sure, but I do not think I have posted this before, Paul; I have posted one or two others that were shot from this same location but slightly different perspective. I almost didn't post this one at all actually. I've been a little surprised at the response it has gotten. Anyway, thank you Paul.Have I seen this before, or something similar? Either way it was a pleasure to look at it. Brentwood hey? At first I thought you meant Brentwood Essex.
Thank you very much, Tom.Perfect proof that the type of equipment doesn't really matter. It's all about the final image
While the eye is immediately drawn to the imposing foreground structure, the interest also extends right through the image from the houses and buildings in the middle to the mist shrouded towers at the back. Personally I think that, without a human presence, the image would have had more mystery and atmosphere.
I think it has been beautifully processed too Brian.
Thank you very much, Dan.Brilliant! Very lush Brian.
Don't worry Brian you got my vote, so you won in my eyes."Cheap as Chips" was a contest we had a few years ago, I did not win the contest. (I will not mention the name of the person who did win it.
