Canon P: Any opinions?

I like the looks of the Canon P rangefinder. I think it came after the V series and before the 7. I'm considering getting one to use on my holidays next month. Does anyone have any experience with this camera that they'd like to share? Or opinions based on experiences you've read or heard about? Thanks.

That's a sweet looking camera Brian

Especially the rare black version ;)

Reviews look good - high quality of construction, and price looks right for the silver version

What lens are you thinking of?

Thanks for the responses Hamish and Chris. The black is far too rich for my blood. (It's about a grand at least.) So I'm thinking silver. I may be able to get a good functioning body for under $200, based on what I've seen today on E-bay. As far as a lens is concerned, I already have a couple of Soviet lenses in 50mm focal length. I'd be looking to pick up, at least for a start, a wide angle Soviet lens. Preferably a 28mm or maybe a 35. As to the crinkled shutter curtain, this is apparently very common on these cameras but tends not to affect the function. At least that's what I've read.

Thanks for the suggestion Hamish. I don't think the CL uses the M39 thread mount though, does it? I'm leaning toward that thread mount due to the number of lenses available from many manufacturers. Anyway,...I just saw a CL for $100 buck on E-bay. I won't rule the CL out, that's for sure.
