Hi Darren,

I like the panoramic treatment of the first and the mirroring of the lights. Not sure if there is enough resolution but it could make a nice print. The second i find a bit too soft and I'm not sure about the indistinct sky and foreground elements. The first works much, much better for me and has more drama to it.

Yeah i know what you meen about the resolution in the first pic, i didn't want to over expose the lights. Needed to be taken a bit earlier i think. And the 2nd one was 8 second exposure without a tripod, but theres something about the fore ground and sky i like, but at the same time the city lights are way over exposed.

I prefer the second one, it's a little more unusual, the panoramic crop seems a little to obvious!
The big black space at the top and bottom of the second one with just minor details make for an interesting shot I think!

Really liking the multi-colour reflections in the pano shot.

Maybe you could do the lower half of the frame (the reflection) at one exposure, and the buildings at another, and blend the two?

Certainly worth the effort as it's an amazing city vista

Ok, i just got my spyder3 elite today and now i understand some of the coments about the pics. They're quite a bit darker, might have to have another play so you can see it how i was.

Also new to this spyder tool, i just used the "recommended" settings and the grey had a bit of a olive drab tint to it. I played around for a while and found it looked better when i set the white point to native. What should i be doing?
