You never know who (or what) you'll meet on the beach in Southern California - I spotted this colorful local at the beach in Cardiff by the Sea this morning...

Thanks Julian - I walked by at first, as I was walking with swmbo - then I turned back, as it was too good to pass up!

He tried to get me to come over and 'look at what else he'd done' - I politely declined, and hurried off down the beach

Glad you went back. That's a perfect portrait of a beach man. What's not to like about a seaweed necklace? The bumbershoot is just too cool. The little people rocks behind the little heart in the background are also interesting. I bet you would have had an interesting conversation with the guy. Okay...if it was me...I wouldn't either.

Yep always go back and at least try. i missed a few superb opportunities not having the courage to ask, then the moment went.
