Cow in the Mist

With apologies to Steve - I had already uploaded this and I can't think of a better title.

I'm slowly getting back to photography and this is one of the last ones from the Peak District. Taken at sunrise and with the mist in the valley now creeping up over Curbar Edge...

Is that a slight bit of diffusion on the grass? Really nice effect and a almost human expression on the cow. Like the slightly milky tone to the greenery too but I guess thats partly caused by the diffusion blur / glamour glow.

Those cows are so cool. I would love to have one. I'm not sure what I would do with it. That is a beautiful photo too. It's perfect.

This is very nice Lesley. As Paul says, the diffused tones and 'glow' are lovely and I like the diagonal 'shadow' that leads you into the shot. And it's a fine looking beast to boot!

Thanks all. Yes, I did use a touch of diffusion and glow, but the mist was certainly there. I tried a red cow only moments earlier and the lens simply refused to focus - too little contrast I guess

wonderfully soft, warm light.
