Trawl boards are heavy, heavier than all of us here can lift. Why would we wish to? No idea.
Anyway they get hauled through the water , spreading the mouth of the trawl wide, wide like a mouth that gulps beer when the thirst is first quenched after a stroll along Huntington beach, the water is colder, several fathoms deep, they oxidise over time hanging from the boats stern, are repaired with welds, sometimes painted to be recognised and insignia, marks of recognition, in case they are lost and another trawls them up, the owner can be found. They cost more then a Leica camera, well almost
Whatever they are about the rust and paint makes for an interesting snap.
