Don't look before bedtime.....

Wow, cheers for those links Paul, some incredible stuff on there. :)

Dan, neat shots like these alot that first one really need some textures added. I'll have to have a little play if you don't mind

Thanks for showing your inspiration on your shots Dan. I've just had a look through Danielle T's photostream and some of her images just blew me away!!!
I would love to have the photographic and PS skills to do some of that stuff, really amazing...

It seriously is astonishing what she does, She is one of my 'unfamous' biggest inspirers. Her portrait shots, edits, lighting, and ideas are amazing! I find myself looking through her photostream over and over again. :)

Here was my edit of it. A total of around 5 textures added and then just worked at it till I got it how I wanted.

It actually looks a little lighter then I wanted once it's been through PB!

WOW VIC!!!! I really like that!
That is pretty much SPOT ON what I was thinking of. I'm over the moon with that one too!
Thank you very much vic!
How and what did you use for that effect?

I used a few textures first of all, each one being ajusted in various ways and moved around in layer order and opacity just the get the right effect. I made a few duplicate layers of the original placed one on the very top and ajusted it's opacity so as to not let the textures take over to much. A third duplicate was ajusted just to bring the mask back and not make it too dark. Levels, curves and a gradient map added, the gradient map has the mode changed to soft light and opacity adjusted.

I have a little library of textures that I use from time to time, I think some shots just call for it. I don't think I've quite got it right yet but I'm slowly getting there!

Vic

Thanks Vic
As metioned, this was the idea I was looking for, that rough textured, aged look, and I think you've nailed it there!
I'm going to look into this texture malarky. I don't think I've ever used any. :/
