80 degrees???!!!! 9 degrees here just now...

What is the green flash?

The second image has not appeared - just a flickr sign saying it is unavailable.

Good shots, Chris, with careful dof ;)

Thanks chaps - just refreshed the URL for the 2nd image - hopefully that'll fix it for you?

It does. Beautiful. Love the bobbing heads out in the water. I'm sure you could make a bucketload of money out of your photos, Chris. The tourist board would love them.

Rob, forgot to answer the green flash question.

Sometimes as the sun sinks into the ocean, you get a lighting effect that looks like a green flash of light

I thought this was BS, as I'd looked and looked and never seen it

Then last year one time, watching sunset with swmbo, we saw it! :)

Yes Chris I had hoped that was the image missing as on Flicky. Love those shots, something about the sea the sun, people, families, surfboards sometimes the smell of a BQ. Love that light, superb.

colours are beautiful, nice set Chris.

Beautiful. Just beautiful.

Waiting for the Green Flash on Saint Patrick's day! I love it.

(PS. Thanks to you, and the sale of a kidney, I am off to Chester tomorrow where there is an XT-1 in a cupboard with my name on the box.)

Only 1 sleep to go!

I've got the second one now and it is a great one, lovely colours, beautifully composed.
Thanks Ivar

Thanks Pat - sorry to have cost you a kidney - I'm sure it'll be worth it though! ;)

Thanks Pete - the last shot was a grab as we walked past this couple, right at the point where the sun was vanishing
