Exa 1a

Having read Jeffery Luhn's engaging article on 35mmc a little while back where he features his old Exa, I became curious, as I knew very little about them or their older, more expensive Exakta siblings. This curiosity got the better of me....

I read both yours and Jeffery’s stories, both very interesting. I’d never heard of this camera or its updates. Some good shots from both of you. I really liked one of your field shots, and of course the trees, oh and the chimney and chair - such an odd juxtaposition! Good work.

Thanks, Rob. I think it was the bit about the odd shutter mechanism in the Exa that got me interested in the first place. Then finding one for relatively cheap. Mm, that chimney 'n' chair, something caught my eye, though I'm still not sure I can explain it lol. Nothing earth-shattering piccy-wise, mostly just me playing around with another old relic. Your words are much appreciated, though.
