Expired Film

Old film.

During a clearout today I happened across some old expired 35mm film.

Provia 100F - Expired 2008

AGFA HDC Plus 400 - no date but from same era

Ilford PanF 50 - no date but from same era

And an exposed Ilford Delta 400 - ditto

The PanF has been sat on a shelf out of its box. The rest have been in the dark inside their canisters.

Would you bother using them? If so do I need to do anything like adjust the ASA on camera? Is it worth having the Delta 400 processed?

Use it! Develop the Delta 400! I wouldn't bother adjusting ASA, I'd just shoot at the box speed. I think there is some guideline for adjusting ASA for an expired film but I can't remember what it is. However, these aren't THAT old! Yeah,...I'd shoot at box speed Dave.

Thanks Brian - gonna load the Provia into one of my Nikons (probably the FA) and take it to Liverpool tomorrow - that and a new roll of Delta 100 in the Yashica Electro.

I'll probably take the X100 too as I need a shot of the day for my 365 but it will essentially be a film day.

How did the expired film turn out?
