Looks good Hamish. Only two things grabbed me; the font on the phone number / their alignment on the contact page looks a bit out of keeping; when you click on an example website it doesn't open in a new window - did you intend that? It seems more natural to keep yours current. Actually it does with some but not all eg, PS Graphics.

Otherwise it looks clean and has a friendly tone and I like the overall design.

"A homepage - limited to 500 words copy", don't think you need the word, "copy".

"We are confident that you will be pleased as punch with your new website and as you grow to require an increased presence online, or additional functionality, we will work with you again." - "We are confident that you will be as pleased as punch with your new website and, as you grow to require an increased presence online, or additional functionality, we will work with you again."

Looks great :)

There is a link to 1and1 , if you are a 1and1 customer consider putting your affiliate code on the link.
I have had people sign up for very expensive servers from my link on one of my sites.
Is always a bonus when a quick bit of money arrives out of the blue.

Very nice site Hamish, the little cartoons of your good self crack me up

Only thing I'd add would be to change the phone numbers for international number standard i.e. +44 (0) .... ..........

I think you could be picking up business from outside the UK.

One of my friends who does similar to Hamish has had big problems with getting paid with overseas clients, there is very little you can do if they wont pay.
Its a good idea to expand but has to be managed so you get paid, nothing worse than months of work then no payment. You can take the site down but you still wont have been paid.

The cartoons are excellent :)

As you say, it's probably safest to have a standard number available for outside UK. No extra cost calling in from mainland Europe though that I've seen especially from Germany. They fall under our standard tarif from here (all standard calls within EU and related countries, US and Australia are inlcuded in our monthy line rental with Telekom).
