lightroom is great for learning how to do stuf and remembering... it allows you to create "snapshots" that you can revisit and look at the different settings you applied

Funny, that. I always save the GIMP or Photoplus layered file in case I want to go back to them, but I hardly ever do - unless I find any glaring mistakes in them, like I did with Vic's Commuters photo last night!
