Fireworks in B&W

Went with some friends to the Hollywood Bowl on Saturday night to see the Brian Setzer Orchestra. We were pretty far back. They had a fireworks display at the end. It was pretty good. I thought I'd try to get some on film. I had two cameras with me: My XA which was loaded with B&W film (Arista Premium 400) and my XA3 which was loaded with Kodak Gold 800 color film.

I haven't had the color film processed yet, but I processed the B&W myself yesterday. This shot was with the XA, hand-held.

Rob: Brian Setzer plays a big archtop Gretsch mostly. And he was great!

Superb Brian. Hamish's comments is exactly right. Perfect position and I love the glow and traces in the sky. I guess that's smoke behind the stage - it almost looks like trees!
