First HD processing

I'm with Pete on this, Rob. The grass pops out too green for me. Spoils the potential moodiness. However, although I'm not familiar with the program you're using, it seems to me that you've exercised admirable restraint, since I imagine it would be easy to go overboard with the HDR effects. Its a bonny fotie though, in terms of subject and composition.

Fair comments, Brian. I've put it on my Facebook page, and quite a few people have Liked it already. I quite like the silver shimmer on the water. One man's meat...

HDR can be difficult to get right, and that's not to say anyone is perfect at it at all.
I think this displays a confusing range of tones, almost like you've used a flash light to light up a few areas. Lol
IMO, I would try and even the tones throughout the frame so that it feels more 'true'.
I for one Rob, am the last person you'll ever know to refuse the route of experimental for whatever shape or form it may be.
So I applaud you for displaying your experimental efforts, and a good word of advice would be to never abandon your courageous and intrigued mind..... For what ever reason...
Great composition though, I'll give you that.

Well, it was just the result of being bored for 20 minutes, and wondering what HD was. Nowt wrong with an enquiring mind. I prefer the image in black and white, so I do not regard this experiment as being wholly successful, but now I know something more about it than I did this morning, and that means it wasn't a waste of time.

Thanks for all the honest opinions - I knew I could rely on you :)

And from your avatar Dan it seems you are still in the avant-garde mariachi band, Hows that going? ;)

You could say that, although I believe it's a progression to becoming an additional member with Lordi, I was disappointingly refused an audition with slipknot.... They thought I was too weird! :D
