Took this one yesterday with the Red Headed Step-Child. (My Canon 7D.) Its taken on the end of Seal Beach Pier. After shooting a few images it occurred to me, can shooting into the sun harm the sensor?

Lovely light Brian. Just the right amount of detail left.

In fact enough that you can see him gazing fascinated at the two fireballs just starting to form in the sky!!

Is that Catalina island again on the horizon?

Pete,...those are not fireballs. They are reflections off the filter of Chris's flying saucer. (He gets around as you know.)

No,...not Catalina Island. The buildings on the horizon beyond the chap are in the City of Long Beach. Then the barely-visible hill on the horizon to the chap's left is the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Between that and the chap you will undoubtedly make out a small island. That is one of the THUMS islands that I featured in a post some months ago when I shot a night shot with my Konica Autoreflex TC. You may remember that shot, Pete. It featured a bin on the beach that seemed to hold some fascination for you.;)

I am indeed everywhere..... watch the skies! :D

Props for breaking out the digi Brian - I like the way he appears to be looking at the sun in the shot
