The smudged look works well I think. The tradition at the top of the building is maybe a bit too rapid I think.

Another good point. I did a quick edit, but the "smudging" was partly the fog and the rest via a couple of filters in CEP. I brushed back on some clarity in LR, so fixing this completely will require redoing the CEP filters selectively in PS - a project for a later date (especially since I don't recall exactly what I did in CEP)

ditto pete. how were the leaves on brp? i was hoping to get down there this weekend, but it doesn't look like it's going to work out. maybe sometime next week.

We left the first week of Oct and the leaves were starting to change. I suspect full fall colors are right about now and the next week or two. Your timing should be pretty good.
